Marilyn Coyote Events

Since being featured on ABC 7's 'View from the Bay' as a "creative" and "expert" event planner, I am pursuing my inspirations more than ever. Busy with holiday parties and winter weddings, I am off to visit Kyoto and Tokyo for a series of tea ceremony events.

I will be attending very special tea ceremonies at Daitoko-ji, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Japan. Because cha-no-yu, or tea ceremony, is such a big part of my understanding of planning and designing parties and weddings, I will be keeping my eyes open for great new design ideas, especially in the presentation of food, dŽcor, and gifts. Beauty and celebration are part of every aspect of lifeÑparticularly in JapanÑand I will share all that I discover.
